We drove through Zion National Park. Stunning rock walls is the best way I can describe it…

And from there we drove to Las Vegas for the night. I love Vegas and the energy of the city, but I am also aware of the sadness of the area. Homelessness, addiction, and other ailments which affect humans are visible all around you when you walk through the city outside of the beautiful buildings. It is an odd dynamic to be inside and not notice anything but what makes a person fee so good. Smiling people, delicious smelling food, pretty lights… I feel no sadness as I walk through the casinos and shopping centers. However, as I step outside it is obvious that inside is not honest and there are people in need of help. We were in Vegas when we found out about the Uvalde elementary school tragedy. That hung over me as I tried to enjoy my few hours in the fun city.

California… May 25-28, 2022
We spent the first night in King’s Canyon National Forest. We visited General Grant ( a 2,200 year old Sequoia tree) and had a good night of tent camping.

Day 2 in CA was spent driving to Yosemite National Park. In Yosemite we saw El Capitain, the Half-Dome, and many excited visitors.

Day 3 – Yosemite to Cloverdale via San Francisco

Day 4 in CA – Cloverdale to Tree of Heaven

Oregon – Day 1
We spent the night in a cute little cabin, we had pie at Beckie’s, and rested up because it was cold and the weather was not the best.

Oregon -Day 2
Crater Lake, OR

More in a bit… I have to take a call from Brooke!
